ANNOUNCEMENTS

Worship Information

We will begin to worship at Wesley Memorial starting on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27. Worship begins at 11:00 a.m. with an adult Sunday School class at 10:00 a.m. We hope that everyone will support this time of worship and fellowship together. We are one in the Body of Christ.

Community Thanksgiving, Pie and Praise Service, Foundry UMC

There will be a special Community Thanksgiving Worship Service called Pie and Praise on Sunday, November 20 at Foundry UMC in Virginia Beach at 5:00 p.m. Bring a pie and after worship we will sit down, enjoy a slice or two of pie and fellowship together.

NEST

Again this year, we will be working with Wesley Memorial during the NEST week December 7-14. (NEST is a program that supplies shelter and food for the homeless during the colder months .) Zion Grace will provide room if they have too many guests for Wesley Memorial. We need people to be at Zion Grace to help serve suppers and breakfast and to stay overnight as well. Please see the insert in today’s bulletin.

Drivers Needed for CFAP

We are still in need of pickup drivers for CFAP. If you would like to lend a hand in picking up food from one of our partner stores, please see Pastor Scott or Jamie (434-390-6720) Thank you.

Merger Vote Postponed

The merger vote date has been postponed until the mid to end of February. We will use this time to complete plans for our new congregation. Please let Pastor Scott know of any ideas or thoughts you have concerning the merger.

Sermon Notes

Last week

We celebrated All Saints Day and looked at “That Great Cloud of Witnesses” in Hebrews 12:1-3.

This week

We will observe Veteran’s Day and talk about our “Devotion and Obedience” to God as we study Acts 2:36-38.

Next week

We will celebrate Thanksgiving early as we study Joel 2:25-27 and discuss “Economic Downturns and Do Overs”.
